Clash with Gjesti/ ONIMA owner denounces pressures and threats

The owner of the ONIMA music company, Erkand Shabani, has reacted publicly on social media regarding the situation involving artist Besart Kelmendi, known as Gjesti.

In his statement, Shabani announced that he had submitted new evidence to law enforcement agencies, which he said was related to suspicious vehicle movements near ONIMA premises. He stressed that these elements should be taken into consideration by the prosecution to assess the risk to him and the staff.

According to him, in cooperation with the legal representative, other materials related to actions organized by various groups, which he claims aimed at financial gains through armed threats against the company, are expected to be presented.

Shabani adds that he had not chosen to speak publicly earlier, describing the incident as a criminal act that occurred in the ONIMA office premises, which has caused material damage and psychological impact on the employees. The case, according to him, is already under review by the justice authorities.

In his reaction, he also mentions several well-known artists such as Zanfina Ismaili, Tayna, Yll Limani, Vesa Luma and Besa Kokëdhima, whom he claims were part of a public campaign that, according to him, influenced the perception of the event and exerted pressure on the judicial process.

He emphasizes that all claims will be pursued through legal channels and relevant institutions. /CNA
