Singer and rapper Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34. He was the younger brother of Nick Carter of the famous group "Backstreet Boys".

According to TMZ, Carter was found dead at his home in Lancaster, California, on Saturday morning.

"Right now it's a really bad time, we're trying to understand what happened and what caused it," they said.

TMZ also reported that Los Angeles County police arrived at the scene around 11:00 a.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT) after receiving a report of a drowning.

Carter began his career opening for the Backstreet Boys on a number of tours and concerts, and also had a successful solo career.
