Sheynnis Palacios nga Nikaragua u kurorëzua Miss Universe 2023 në konkursin e bukurisë, i cili u zhvillua të shtunën mbrëma në kryeqytetin e El Salvadorit, San Salvador. Shoqëruesja e parë e misit u zgjodh Anntonia Porsild nga Tajlanda.

Juria që gjykoi konkurentet e 84 vendeve ishn modelja Halima Aden, ylli i "Queer Eye" Carson Kressley, influencuesin e TikTok Avani Gregg dhe dy ish-fitueset e Miss Universe, Janelle Commissiong nga Trinidad & Tobago. (Miss Universe 1977) dhe Iris Mittenaere e Francës (Miss Universe 2016).

Njëzet gjysmëfinalistet u shpallën të shtunën mbrëma pas rezultateve të garës paraprake dhe pas një televotimi global. Pas prezantimit të miss-eve me bikini, gara u ngushtua, ku u përzgjodhën 10 më të bukurat.

Miss Kolumbia, Camila Avella dhe Miss Puerto Rico, Karla Guilfú, u zgjodhën në top 5, ndërsa një tjetër konkurente e top 10, spanjollja Athenea Pérez, u kurorëzua Miss Congeniality e konkursit./ CNA
