On Saturday, March 7th, the launch event of the International Talent Agency was held, the first of its kind in Albania, where local professionals met with international film agents. Actors and film industry technicians participated, with and without experience in the field of cinema, thus opening up the opportunity for anyone who is passionate about the film industry.

The International Talent Agency is connected to TV and film studios in London, Los Angeles, New York and beyond. It aims to serve as a direct corridor of projects between Tirana and Hollywood professionals. The Agency's founder, J.Grayson Stubbs, told CNA that he is optimistic about what Albania can offer in the global film arena.

Stubbs is currently the director of the film company “Rose Tint Films”, while previously he was the executive director of the giant “Lionsgate”. He was present at the Tirana campus to get acquainted with the film talents in the country, where he explained how the agency will function.

Now, with the Catalyst Institute and the Talent Agency, professionals from all over the world will train Albanian filmmakers, to include Albania in the spotlight of world cinematography. Catalyst Institute is a training center that has been operating in our country for 2 years. Its work is making a vision come true, which aims to improve the quality of film production as a whole and prepare a staff of professionals of all kinds in the film industry in Albania.

The training offered on the American film and television industry includes the production and realization of cinema events in Tirana. Actors, writers, directors, producers, technicians and every other person of the film production staff in all its links are now part of this film center.

Among the international film experts present at the event was Rowan Cassidy, graphic designer of famous films such as The Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean, Moulin Rouge, and Disney animation productions.

Hollywood film industry experts have arrived in Albania for the second year in a row, this time also establishing a recruitment agency and establishing connections between foreign productions and Albanian talents. To make the initiative more concrete, film artists and technicians who were participating in the event could scan a code published on the flyers displayed on the walls, where they would then register their data. In this way, the agency includes them in the list of film staff in Albania, to then make them part of concrete film projects.

With the promise of ambitious film projects coming soon to Albania, with budgets reaching millions of dollars, it could be said that Albania has the best chance ever in the world cinematography perspective. /CNA
