Shkodra is officially in the week of Carnival celebrations, one of the city's most vibrant and beloved events, which will extend throughout the week with activities for all ages.

The city will turn into an open stage with carnival parades, children's activities, artistic performances, music, lights and surprises that will keep the rhythm of the celebration alive.

The Director of Culture at the Municipality of Shkodra, Sara Smaja, said that this will be a week filled with spectacle and positive energy, inviting citizens and visitors from all regions to become part of the celebration.

"Carnival week has just begun. The celebrations for Carnival 2026 begin today. There will be several activities, exhibitions open every day. There are two big concerts on Friday and Saturday, as well as 2 parades on Saturday and Sunday. This will be a very colorful weekend, with performances, humor, parades and lots of activities. So we invite you to be part of it," said the Director of Culture at the Municipality of Shkodra, Sara Smaja.
