With the burning of the scarecrow, Shkodra brought the 'Carnival 2026' to an end with one of the most symbolic moments of the traditional celebration.

This ritual, which marks the end of the festive week, represents leaving behind the old and opening a new cycle of light and positive energy.

Citizens share their impressions of this year's celebration:

"This year's carnivals have been among the most beautiful. We started on Monday and we're wrapping up this Sunday. This year everyone is wearing masks, we've danced, we've had endless fun."

For a week, the city streets turned into a stage of parades, colors and music, where children, young people and citizens became part of the carnival atmosphere. Creative costumes, performances and the characteristic Shkodran humor gave the city a special liveliness.
