Over 100 roles on screen and in theater/ Arben Dervishi's long career

Renowned comedian Arben Dervishi has made an extraordinary contribution and a long and successful career in Albanian theater and screen.

Dervishi was born in Korça on April 11, 1963 and celebrated his 63rd birthday yesterday. He completed his higher studies at the Academy of Arts in 1988 as an actor and was immediately appointed to the Korça Professional Show, where he quickly became one of the main figures of the comedy scene.

During his career, he has performed over 100 roles in sketches and short dramatic forms in variety theater, in plays such as "Why Not Laugh", "Ear Me", "How to Name It", "City of Dreams", "Sorry for the Delay" and "Where Did I Leave the Word?".

He has also distinguished himself in humorous materials such as "The Court of Cassation", "The Albanian's Tail", "Maternity", "The Police" and "Alleys of the Fools".

In the comedy "Jovan Bregu refugjat" (1998), Dervishi played the lead role of Jovan, a boastful and comical character, while in the comedy "Zonjusha 39 vezce" he stood out in the role of Niku.

He has also been part of the famous television program "Portokalli" on Top Channel, where he stood out especially with the role of the bartender. In the early 2000s, he emigrated to the USA, but continues to be engaged from time to time in artistic projects in Albania./ CNA
