“Justice at Nuremberg”/ Premiere at the "ArTurbina" Theater

Director Arben Kumbaro's drama "Justice at Nuremberg" premiered at the "ArTurbina" Theater over the weekend, arousing interest and appreciation among the capital's audience.

The cast of roles includes a total of 18 actors, including well-known names such as Viktor Zhusti, Sokol Angjeli, Neritan Liçaj, Indrit Çobani, etc.

Written by Abby Mann, an American screenwriter and producer of controversial subjects and social dramas, this work was written in 1961 and originally appeared as a television drama.

At the center of the subject is the infamous Nuremberg Trials, where four judges and prosecutors are accused of crimes against humanity, as part of their role during the Nazi regime in Germany.

The play evokes the strong theme of individual and collective responsibility during the Holocaust, against the backdrop of the start of the Cold War and the Berlin Blockade. For its historical, cultural, and aesthetic significance, it has been designated as part of the U.S. National Film Registry.

The audience is invited to experience a state of judgment and reflection, where right and wrong are confronted with a historical backdrop. Today, in a time of conflicts and wars taking place in different parts of the world, Kumbaro's drama feels more relevant than ever. After every war decision, everyone faces the bar of justice, no matter how much time passes.
