The Italian-Albanian organization in Italy is destroyed, 40 arrested for hashish and cocaine

40 people, including Albanians, were arrested by the Carabinieri in the anti-drug operation called "Family and Friends".

The Italian media write that during this action, which exposed the hashish traffic managed by an Italian-Albanian criminal organization, 22 people were sent to prison, while 18 others were placed under house arrest.

The group had several branches in Liguria, Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Marche and Abruzzo.

The investigations showed that the hashish came from Spain and the cocaine from Albania.

At the head of the organization it turned out to be a man from Quartu Sant'Elena, the metropolitan city of Cagliari, who managed relations with Spain for the import of tons of hashish and with Albania for cocaine.

According to investigators, the man coordinated two other criminal groups, one in Quartu and one in Sassari.
