A serious incident was prevented in Gjirokastër, where a 47-year-old man fired a gun at the apartment where he had family members. 

The event took place in the place called "River Bridge", where the 47-year-old man with the initials LS was also arrested.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting. 

Police Notification:

The further escalation of a family conflict, which could have serious consequences for life, is prevented. For weak motives, he shot with a shotgun in the direction of the apartment where he had his family members, the immediate intervention of the Police allowed the arrest of the 47-year-old in the act. The shotgun with which this citizen shot was seized.

Immediately after the announcement that at around 09:15 this morning, for weak motives, a citizen had shot with a shotgun, in the direction of the apartment where his family members were, in the area called "River Bridge", the services of the Police Station of the Gjirokastër Police organized the work and arrived at the scene to arrest the responsible citizen.

As a result, it became possible to prevent the further escalation of this conflict, as well as the arrest of the suspected author, citizen LS, 47 years old, resident of Gjirokastër.

Also, the shotgun with which the arrested person shot was found and seized as material evidence. No citizens were injured in the shooting.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions. /CNA
