Policia Rrugore bën bilancin e javës/ 40 drejtues mjetesh

The traffic police has made public the balance of the week we left behind, where 40 drivers ended up in handcuffs.

While the number of fines is more than 20,000 across the country, the police have stopped 156 drivers, mainly for speeding over the allowed rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol, while intoxicated and for traffic in the opposite direction.

While 21,593 fines have been imposed:

– 6123 for speed exceeding the permitted rates;

– 1345 for using a mobile phone while driving;

– 1226 for not using the seat belt;

– 2105 for wrong passings;

– 290 for not wearing a protective helmet;

– 111 for dangerous maneuvers on the road;

– 229 for driving under the influence of alcohol;

– 9054 for wrong parking;

– 1110 for other violations.

Based on the very high flow of vehicles towards the coastal and tourist areas, as well as the numerous violations evidenced during the monitoring with the educational drone and intelligent tools, the Traffic Police services are intensifying the monitoring in order to prevent road accidents.

Mobile patrols have been added to all national road axes, urban centers and tourist areas, using intelligent speed measuring tools, police scanners, automatic radars, high-quality drones, draggers and telescopes.

As a result of monitoring on all road axes, during one week:

156 driving licenses were suspended for speeding over the permitted rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol/in a drunken state, and for driving in the opposite direction.

40 drivers were arrested for driving while intoxicated and for driving without a driving license.

Also, 21,593 administrative measures have been imposed throughout the country, of which:

– 6123 for speed exceeding the permitted rates;

– 1345 for using a mobile phone while driving;

– 1226 for not using the seat belt;

– 2105 for wrong passings;

– 290 for not wearing a protective helmet;

– 111 for dangerous maneuvers on the road;

– 229 for driving under the influence of alcohol;

– 9054 for wrong parking;

– 1110 for other violations.

The Traffic Police appeals to all drivers of vehicles and motor vehicles, to strictly implement the traffic rules, to use alternative routes, to stay in line when there is a slowdown in the movement of vehicles in cases of traffic, to give priority to pedestrians and not to make wrong passes or dangerous maneuvers in urban centers and national axes.

Also, truck drivers should strictly implement movement restrictions during the weekend and official holidays.
