Operation by 'RENEA' in Lezha/ A high-risk citizen is arrested

The "RENEA" Special Forces and the operational services of the Lezha Police and the Kurbin Police Commissariat enabled the localization in Mamurras, the neutralization and the arrest of the wanted citizen, J. Ll., 46 years old.

According to the Police, he is a citizen of high social risk, with a record of murder and is wanted for extortion against businesses.

It is suspected that this citizen and 4 others (specifically 1 citizen arrested and 3 citizens criminally prosecuted, on 19.02.2025), organized as a group, imposed fines on businesses, exerting pressure and threatening them with weapons, with the aim of unjust financial gain.

During the investigative actions regarding this criminal activity, 1 hunting weapon, combat ammunition and 2 armored vehicles were seized from these citizens, which were used to carry out the criminal activity of extortion through threats, for the transfer of property.

The procedural materials were referred to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
