He rented cars and never returned them/ The 26-year-old was arrested

A 26-year-old man was arrested in Elbasan after he rented cars several times through fraud. This citizen rented cars after making half the payment and never returned them.

Police Notification:

The 26-year-old was arrested and put in handcuffs after he had rented 2 vehicles.

The 2 vehicles were found and seized.

The Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Elbasan Police Station, following the work to attack criminal activities in any form of their manifestation and to capture the citizens declared wanted, based on informational intelligence, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Rental". As a result of this operation, in cooperation with the Korçë Police services, it became possible to capture and detain the citizen in Korçë:

HK, 26 years old, resident of Bilisht village.

This citizen was declared wanted for the criminal offense "Fraud", after:

- on 27.09.2024, in the city of Elbasan, in the entity for providing vehicles for rent, owned by the citizen AK, he rented a vehicle by paying only part of the payment, but then he did not return the vehicle as it was foreseen in the agreement with the AK citizen;

- on 01.10.2024, in the city of Elbasan, in the vehicle rental entity, owned by the EM citizen, he rented a vehicle by paying only part of the payment, but then he did not return the vehicle as was foreseen in the agreement with the EM citizen.

The 2 vehicles that the 26-year-old had taken in these 2 entities have been found and seized by the Police.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for further actions./ CNA
