He set fire to his aunt's apartment/ 24-year-old arrested in Vlora

He set fire to his aunt's apartment for weak motives, the 24-year-old is caught red-handed and put in handcuffs.

The Vlora Police Commissariat services, after receiving notification of a house burning, immediately launched investigative actions to determine the cause of the fire and to clarify the circumstances of the case.

The rapid investigative actions resulted in the fire being intentional. Subsequently, the Police services identified from the video footage obtained from the scene and arrested the suspected perpetrator, citizen EK, 24 years old, resident of Vlora, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire".

This citizen is suspected of intentionally setting fire to the apartment of his 56-year-old aunt in the "Partizani" neighborhood on 08.07.2025, at around 15:30, for weak motives.

Thanks to the timely intervention of the fire services, the fire was extinguished, causing only material damage.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for further action./CNA
