DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said today that his party has failed to win the mayoral race.

In his statement to the media at the end of the second round of voting in North Macedonia, Ahmeti stated that DUI accepts this result that came from the people's vote.

Ahmeti added that the next step is to conduct an in-depth analysis to renew the ranks of the DUI.

"We have the majority of the vote nationwide, or rather the national vote nationwide. Over 23 thousand more votes, but we have not managed to win the race for mayor. We accept this result. We have won the majority vote, the vote of the people. The loss of several positions is a call to strengthen the structures, to get closer to the people. The trust of citizens has not faded, but has been strengthened. We will conduct an in-depth analysis, we will renew our ranks. These dishonest practices damage the trust of cities in the electoral process", - said Ahmeti./CNA
