Early elections in Kosovo/ Kurti: We welcome the setting of the date of December

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted after President Vjosa Osmani set the election date.

Through a post on social media, Kurti writes that election day is a celebration of democracy.

Kurti says it must be ensured that state institutions have sufficient time to organize the electoral process.

Focusing on December 28, Kurti said that it is the most appropriate date for early elections.

" Election Day is a celebration of democracy. It becomes even more magnificent when there is the greatest possible participation of our citizens with the right to vote. At the same time, we must ensure that state institutions have sufficient time to make all the necessary preparations for the electoral process to be orderly, fair and democratic. Therefore, we welcome the appointment of December 28 by the President of the country, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, as the most appropriate date for the early elections that await us ," Kurti writes./CNA
