Thaçi's trial in The Hague/ Hearings for November and December

Hearings scheduled for November and December in the trial of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi have been cancelled. The Specialist Chambers in The Hague announced the news, which also said a decision on the next steps in the proceedings will be issued this week.

"Following the conclusion of today's Status Conference, we inform you that all hearings previously scheduled for November and December in the Thaçi trial etc. have been canceled and removed from the Court's Calendar. As mentioned during the Status Conference, the Trial Panel intends to issue a decision on the next steps in the proceedings later this week," the announcement reads.

In previous hearings, Wesley Clark, a retired American general, has testified. Clark testified for two days in defense of Hashim Thaçi in The Hague. Earlier, retired American diplomat Christopher Hill also testified for three days in The Hague.

In addition to Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selim are also on trial in The Hague. They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity during the 1998-1999 war, when they were part of the Kosovo Liberation Army. All four deny the charges. /CNA
