Vucic resigns from the leadership of the party

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?, has resigned from the leadership of his party, the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

The news was announced by Vucic himself at the rally in front of the Assembly in Belgrade. He said that from tomorrow he will no longer be the leader of the party.

"This is the last evening when I address you as the chairman of the SNS, of which I will be a faithful and loyal member, but from tomorrow I will be the chairman of all the citizens of Serbia, but not even of the political party", he said. says the Serbian president.

He said that "some wonderful people" will take over the party from Saturday and that from June 28 they will start forming the Movement for the People and the State.

As for the opposition, the Serbian president declared that the deputies who organized protests after the two massacres in Belgrade and its surroundings "deserve only contempt".
