The Bosnian Serb leader, Milorad Dodik, in an interview with RIA Novosti, assessed that the conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin was successful and expressed gratitude for the Russian Federation's support for the Republic of Serbia.

"The conversation was very successful. We exchanged views on the current situation in our relations, on the regional and global agenda. Once again the friendly relationship between Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and the Russian Federation towards the Republic of Serbia was confirmed. We confirmed that we are reliable partners and all our meetings are evidence of this", said Dodik.

He added that he is very grateful for the support that the Russian Federation gives to the Republic of Serbia, especially at the level of international law, and that Russia is the guarantor of the implementation of the Dayton Agreements and the conditions that must be met at the level of the Security Council. the UN.

Dodik stated that the president of Russia tried to establish a dialogue with the West on the issue of common security, but they did not listen to him and continued to work with Russia, as they did before with Yugoslavia.

"President Putin cares about his country and his people. He was always principled when he tried earlier to talk with the West and NATO and establish common security and political relations. However, they did not listen to him and continued to work with Russia that they worked with Yugoslavia as early as possible", said Dodik.

As he said, the Republic of Serbia is negotiating with the Russian Federation on projects for the reconstruction of thermal power plants and the purchase of equipment for work in mines, and these issues, he added, can be discussed already in June, during the visit of the RS Delegation to the Economic Forum.
