Vucic: The barricades will be removed when the Association is established

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that the barricades in the north of Kosovo will be removed when Kosovo forms the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.

"First the Association of Municipalities, then we will remove the barricades", Vucic told journalists in Azerbaijan, reports the Beta news agency.

For the creation of the Association, Kosovo and Serbia have reached two agreements within the dialogue for the normalization of relations, which is mediated by the European Union. The authorities in Kosovo have argued that the creation of this Association would be harmful for Kosovo.

Ai kërkoi shpjegim nga Kosova sa i përket arrestimit të ish-policit serb të Kosovës, Dejan Pantiç, duke shtuar se Beogradi nuk e di arsyen e arrestimit të tij.

Autoritetet në Kosovë kanë thënë se Pantiç – që u arrestua më 10 dhjetor – dyshohet për organizimin e “sulmit terrorist” të 6 dhjetorit ndaj zyrave të Komisionit Qendror të Zgjedhjeve.

Për shkak të arrestimit të Pantiçit, disa serbë lokalë ngritën barrikada në veri të Kosovës, duke bllokuar rrugët që çojnë drejt pikave kufitare – që lidhin Kosovën dhe Serbinë – të Jarinjës dhe Bërnjakut.
