Greek farmers' protests continue / They cover MPs' offices with straw

Farmers and herders of the plains of Thessaly protested in an unusual way outside the offices of the deputies in the city of Larissa.

Farmers threw straw outside the New Democracy offices in a symbolic manner, reiterating their demands.  

"They need to understand that the 'straw' the government gives us is not eaten by farmers... let everyone take responsibility," the farmers declared. 

All this, while earlier the Greek Prime Minister emphasized in Parliament that on Monday at 5 pm he is expecting a delegation of farmers for a meeting at the Maximos Residence with the aim of finding a solution to their demands.

The farmers stressed that if no solutions are offered at the table, there will be no meeting with the Prime Minister. /CNA
