A judge in Texas has sparked public outrage by halting the use of an abortion drug that has been used safely for more than 20 years.

His ruling on Friday represented a judicial intrusion into the health care decisions of millions of American women and could lead to abortion bans in many states if it goes into effect.

The Biden administration is already mobilizing to block the judge's move after the appeal.
