The mayors of the northern municipalities of Kosovo, North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Leposaviq and Zubin Potok, said their resignations before the respective assemblies on Sunday.

The councilors in the municipal assemblies from the ranks of the Serbian List acted the same way.

Lista Serbe is the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, which has the support of Belgrade.

The day before, on November 5, this party announced the removal of Serbs from the institutions of Kosovo.

Plani për targat

It is believed that there are about 10,000 cars with Serbian license plates in Kosovo.

The United States and the European Union have expressed disappointment as to why the Government of Kosovo has not acted in accordance with their request for a 12-month postponement of the license plate decision. The authorities in Kosovo have accused Serbia of the decision of the Serbian List and called on the Serbs in Kosovo not to fall prey to what they consider Serbian manipulations.
