Incredible images have captured an extremely rare case of a baby being born while still inside their amniotic sac.

The birth took place at the Evangelico Hospital in Ipora, Goias state, Brazil on October 10.

Heavily pregnant Naiara Santos needed a caesarean section to deliver her twin daughters.

Known as birth en caul, this phenomenon occurs in less than one in 80,000 births.
