Një ngjarje e rëndë është shënuar në Filipine, pasi një "mal" mbeturinash u shemb dhe zuri poshtë disa punëtorë në një impiant për ndarjen e mbeturinave. Si pasojë një person ka humbur jetën, shtatë të tjerë janë plagosur ndërsa 27 raportohen të zhdukur.

Ekipet e shpëtimit nxorën të gjallë tetë persona dhe po kërkojnë për të zhdukurit që u zunë poshtë nga grumbulli i madh i mbeturinave që u shemb mbi ta në fshatin Binaliw në qytetin Cebu.

Një nga të shpëtuarat, një punonjëse e depos së mbeturinave, ndërroi jetë ndërsa po transportohej në spital, tha drejtori i policisë rajonale, gjeneral brigade Roderick Maranan, duke shtuar se pjesa tjetër që u nxorrën kanë pësuar lëndime.

Një nga ndërtesat e ulëta të goditura nga orteku i mbeturinave ishte një depo ku punëtorët ndanin mbeturinat e riciklueshme nga mbeturinat, ndërsa mbetet e paqartë nëse shtëpitë aty pranë u prekën gjithashtu. /CNA
