Scholz harshly attacks Putin before the UN

In his first speech before the United Nations, German Chancellor Oaf Scholz made serious accusations against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Referring to Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine, Scholz said before the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York that "he is not destroying (...) only Ukraine, he is also destroying his country ." Putin conducts this war of conquest with the sole purpose of subduing Ukraine. Self-determination and political independence do not play a role for him.
