Five dead in Texas shooting

Five people, including an 8-year-old child, were killed in a shooting at a home in Cleveland, Texas, ABC News reported Saturday, citing police and local authorities.

The shooting happened late Friday and police are still searching for the suspected perpetrator.

Police authorities said they received a call from Cleveland about the attack, but when they arrived at the scene they found the bodies of the victims.

The main suspect is a Mexican national who was drunk and armed.

Police did not release the identities of the victims or their possible connection to the suspect, but said they were all from Honduras.

According to the authorities, four people were found dead at the scene, while a fifth was declared dead after being taken to the hospital./VOA
