Patrushev says that Russia in Ukraine is fighting against NATO

One of Russian President Vladimir Putin's closest allies said Moscow is now fighting in Ukraine with the US-led military alliance NATO.

Nikolai Patrushev added that the West is trying to erase Russia from the political map of the world.

Putin considers the war in Ukraine an existential battle and accuses the West of being aggressive and arrogant. The Russian leader has said that Russia will use all the means at its disposal to defend itself and its people against any aggressor.
