Who is the woman who threw the bomb in Istanbul / Connection with the Kurds

New details have emerged from the serious event in Istanbul, where 6 people lost their lives and over 80 others were injured.

A woman, Ahlam Albashir, has been arrested for the powerful explosion that happened the day before near Taksim Square in Istanbul.

The latter is suspected of being the author of the kamikaze attack and during the interrogation, she revealed her connection with the Kurds, euronews reports.

Originally from Syria, Albashir said she entered Turkey illegally while being trained as a special intelligence officer by the PKK, which is considered a terrorist organization in the Turkish state.

Meanwhile, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the perpetrators will be punished.

Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul, he condemned what he called the "vile attack" and said he had felt the "smell of terror". Investigations continue into the serious incident.
