The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, discussed on Saturday the European Union's proposal for the normalization of relations with Serbia, with the representatives of the Albanians and Bosniaks in the Assembly of Serbia.

Kurti, together with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, received on Saturday in Pristina, the Albanian MP, Shaip Kamberi, the chairman of the SDA Sanxhak party, Sulejman Ugljanin, and two other Bosnian MPs: Enis Imamovi? and Sellma Ku?evi?. In a press release, the Office of the Prime Minister said that "different communities must be treated without distinction within the framework of universal principles and in full harmony with the standards of the European Union" and that the rights of non-majority communities in Kosovo and Serbia reflect "democracy and our development as a society".

Katër zyrtarët kanë thënë se janë të pakënaqur me statusin e shqiptarëve dhe boshnjakëve në përgjithësi në Serbi, por kanë theksuar situatën në komunat e Novi Pazarit, Tutinit e Sjenicës në Sanxhak si dhe të Preshevës, Medvegjës e Bujanocit në Luginë. “Ata kërkuan reciprocitet të të drejtave me serbët në Republikën e Kosovës”, është thënë në komunikatë.

SDA Sanxhak i ka dy deputetë në Kuvendin aktual të Serbisë, ndërsa “Koalicioni i Shqiptarëve të Luginës” e ka një deputet.Propozimi i BE-së për normalizimin e marrëdhënieve mes Kosovës dhe Serbisë u është dorëzuar Kosovës dhe Serbisë në fund të verës, por përmbajtja e tij nuk është bërë publike.
