Kiev: Telegram has blocked Ukrainian intelligence programs

Ukraine's Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) says messaging platform Telegram has blocked a number of its official bots, including the Ukrainian intelligence chatbot.

"Bots" are software applications, programmed to perform certain tasks, while "chatbots", at the most basic level, are programs designed to imitate conversations that take place between people, through text or voice interaction. .

"Today, the management of the Telegram platform unreasonably blocked a number of official 'bots' opposing Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, including the main intelligence 'bot,'" HUR reported on Telegram, early on the 29th april

HUR added that this is against "rules" and public statements" from Telegram management.

"Even with our 'bot' blocking, your personal data is safe," said HUR.
