Crime in Crete/ 3 brothers on the list of suspects, investigations for 2 other people

Three brothers have been declared wanted in connection with a deadly shootout between rival families that took place on Saturday in Vorizia, Crete.

The incident resulted in two deaths and four injuries.

The suspects have been identified as the 27-year-old owner of a house and two of his brothers, aged 19 and 29 respectively.

According to reports in Greek media, their lawyer contacted authorities to inform them of her clients' intention to surrender. The three brothers are in police custody.

A fourth brother is also believed to have been involved. He was injured in the exchange of fire and is still in hospital, as is a cousin who may also have played a role in the violence.

A police spokeswoman said investigators believe more people may be involved in the incident. /CNA
