The first results of the elections in Greece are out/ "New Democracy" leads the race

Voting has closed in Greece and the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections are already coming out.

"New Democracy" led by Kyriakos Mitsotakis ranks first in the race so far, receiving 41% of the citizens' votes.

SYRIZA, of Alexis Tsipra, has so far won 20% of the votes.

Significant increase for PASOK, which moves above 11.5%.

The head of SYRIZA in Greece, Alexis Tsipras, has accepted defeat and congratulated his New Democracy rival, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on his victory.

While 71% of the ballot boxes were counted, Prime Minister Mitsotakis' New Democracy received 40.83%, while SYRIZA received 20.7%.

The third electoral force is PASOK/Change Movement with a percentage of 11.82%, followed by KKE with 7.09% and Hellenic Solution with 4.5%./ CNA.al
