Boeing will close 17,000 jobs

Boeing will cut 17,000 jobs and delay production to deal with problems within the business.

The company's chief executive, Kelly Ortberg, has said through an email to staff that the positions of "bosses, managers and workers" are at risk.

There, employees have been warned about losses in the field of production of weapons and military equipment, and that the delivery date of the 777X aircraft has been postponed.
