The EU invites 17 non-member countries to the Prague summit

French President Emmanuel Macron's initiative to create a European Political Community is beginning to crystallize. The first meeting of this new community is expected to be in Prague, Czech Republic, which is the next president of the EU this semester. According to DW sources in Brussels, the next Czech presidency, in addition to the 27 EU members, has also invited 17 other non-EU countries to the informal summit. The invitations were sent on Thursday, 22.09.22 to the chancelleries of these countries, it was announced by an EU official in Brussels.

Presidenti i Këshillit të BE-së, Charles Michel, dhe kryetari i radhës, kryeministri çek, Petr Fiala, kanë ftuar ndër të tjera edhe gjashtë shtetet e Ballkanit Perëndimor: Shqipëri, Kosovë, Maqedoni e Veriut, Mali i ZI, Bosnjë-Hercegovinë dhe Serbi. Gjithashtu ftesa janë dërguar edhe në Ukrainë, Turqi, Britaninë e Madhe, Zvicër, Norvegji, Islandë, Lihtenshtajn, Moldavi, Gjeorgji, Armeni dhe Azerbajxhan.

Në takimin joformal do të flitet për paqen dhe sigurinë, energjinë dhe klimën, për gjendjen ekonomike dhe migracionin. Nuk është planifikuar që të dilet me ndonjë deklaratë përfundimtare, bëhet e ditur nga Brukseli. Takimi do të zhvillohet në Pragë, më 6 tetor, një ditë para samitit joformal të BE-së (7.10.). BE synon të organizojë një ose dy takime të tilla në vit. Qëllimi i këtyre takimeve është një koordinim më i mirë me të gjitha vendet e kontinentit. Në samit do të ketë edhe takime bilaterale mes vendeve.

The idea of ??creating a European Political Community was brought up in May of this year by French President Emmanuel Macron, when France held the presidency of the European countries.
