Tragic accident in Greece/ The number of victims is increasing

Legal doctor Rubini Leontari noted that 14 burnt bodies arrived at the morgue on Thursday.

The number of victims from the tragic train accident in Tempi, according to what was declared by the head of the forensic medicine of Larissa, Rubini Leontari.

Speaking to a radio station (Real FM), the doctor noted that 14 burnt bodies have been transferred to the morgue, while 7 were transferred yesterday.

Rubini Leontari also said that DNA tests are being carried out for the victims.

" The DNA of each member has been taken, so some members that may belong to a dismembered body will be assigned to the body, some members that will not belong to a body, we will have the DNA theirs ," she noted, commenting on the process of identifying the bodies.

" Identification is not the work of doctors. Of course we help, but it is the responsibility of the laboratory of the specialized group of Civil Defense for mass disasters. We have information that DNA laboratory investigations are progressing. We already have 14 complete results so far, which are in the process of identification by the competent person ", said Mrs. Leontari./ Adapted from CNA.al
