Abazovic apologizes for the statement about the genocide in Srebrenica

Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic said his statement on the 27th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide was "unclear" and apologized to the families of the victims.

"I apologize to the mothers of Srebrenica for the vaguely expressed opinion. It is known that every work depends on its purpose. My goal is peace. The genocide committed against Bosniaks in Srebrenica should not be repeated against anyone," he wrote in Telegram.

This apology comes after the families of the victims of the genocide, associations and representatives of political parties in Montenegro, said that Abazovic relativized the genocide in Srebrenica.

"The genocide was not committed against the Bosniaks, but against the people, and it was not committed by the armies, but by the politicians, the politics of evil, the politics of death and the politics of deceit," Abazovic said, commemorating the 27th anniversary of the genocide against the Bosniaks. in Srebrenica./euronews
