Online sales from businesses to expand by 9.7% in 2024

In 2024, 24.5% of enterprises have sold products/services through the website, special applications, e-commerce websites and applications used by various enterprises to trade products, marking an increase of 9.7 %, compared to 2023, INSTAT reported today.

Calculated within the same economic activity, the largest share of electronic commerce is occupied by enterprises operating in the field of Accommodation and Food Service with 45.3%, followed by Information and Communication activities with 38.0% and Wholesale trade and retail with 36.2%.

Social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) is used by 83.1% of enterprises that use a computer with Internet access, from 80.5% that resulted in 2023.
