About 225 million euros in commercial exchanges between Kosovo and Albania this

The commercial exchanges between Kosovo and Albania, in the first six months of this year, have reached 225 million euros.

The goods exported from Kosovo to Albania have increased by 50 percent, compared to last year, while the export of goods from Albania to Kosovo has also increased in value by 14.5 percent. This increase from the ambassador of Albania in Kosovo, Qemal Minxhozi, is considered positive and satisfactory.

Minxhozi, in an interview for KosovaPress, says that he expects that in the second half of 2022 there will be an even greater increase in trade exchanges.

“Në fushën e shkëmbimeve tregtare midis Shqipërisë, Kosovës dhe anasjelltas, kemi një rritje të kënaqshme. Mallrat (e eksportuara) nga Kosova në Shqipëri kanë shënuar një rritje prej 50 për qind, krahasim me gjashtëmujorin e vitit të kaluar. Dhe mallrat e eksportuar nga Shqipëria në Kosovë, janë rritur në masën 14.5 për qind. Në total ne shkëmbejmë në mes veti 225 milionë euro mallra në gjysmën e parë të vitit 2022. Rritja është diku e përgjithshme dhe pozitive. Besojmë se rritja në gjashtëmujorin e dytë, do të jetë më e madhe fal edhe disa masave organizative që janë marrë nga organet ligjzbatuese të doganave, tatimeve të dy vendeve, duke rritur bashkëpunimin dhe ulur burokracitë. Përsëri ne jemi të vëmendshëm se ka mundësi që ky bashkëpunim të thellohet dhe lëvizja e mallrave dhe shkëmbimeve të kenë një kalim më të shpejtë në kohë dhe shërbim me cilësi”, thotë ai.

Speaking about the opening of the borders between Albania and Kosovo during the weekends, Ambassador Minxhozi said that the basis of tourism in Albania is Kosovo.

He added that currently the largest flow of Kosovar vacationers is in the area of ??Shengjin and Velipoja.

On the other hand, Ambassador Minxhozi says that the agreements signed between the two countries are being implemented, while he mentions the feasibility project for the railway between the two countries, which he says is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
