ARRSH opens the tender for the Saranda bypass project

The Albanian Road Authority opened the public procurement procedure for the Saranda bypass project that connects the Sixth Neck with the national road Saranda - Himarë.

This road segment aims to facilitate the movement of heavy traffic in the area of ??the city of Saranda, creates a comfortable infrastructure for the movement of vehicles in this tourist area, as well as a modern infrastructure for the movement and safety of pedestrians.

The planned intervention includes the road segment that should start at the current entrance to the city of Saranda, near the roundabout of Qafë Gjaštë and should end in connection with the national road Sarandë - Himare.

The endpoints of the project must be determined in coordination with the "Coastal Road" project, the possibility of connection with the Kardhiq - Delvina - Sarandë road, in cooperation with the municipality of Sarandë and the ARRSH.

This segment is expected to have a total length of approximately 3.5 km, including road segments with urban or interurban characteristics, a tunnel of approximately 800~900 ml length, as well as the design of junctions along this road axis.

The road segment must be of category C2, where urban elements are designed in urban areas, depending on the need and the physical and legal conditions of the properties affected by the project footprint.

The road widths will be made according to the standards in force in order to meet all the necessary conditions for circulation and comfortable access./CNA
