Today SPAK, with an official announcement, clarified that the investigation against the citizen Erion Veliaj has begun. Over 4 serious criminal charges.

Clearly today, SPAK said that the drums of Erion Veliaj, the attacks on prosecutors, journalists in his court for anonymous plaintiffs and others are nothing more than mere political games in the last throes of an individual who has a chance to save something from his disgusting political morality.

Veliaj's media pounced on the fact that it was an anonymous person whom Erion did not know, but who had provided indisputable evidence and facts, which were verified by BKH officers who then interrogated the mayor in a investigation led by the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, and prosecutor Olsi Dado.

But the important thing is not who reported it, but whether there are facts and evidence. They are widely known. Erion Veliaj has denied the investigations against him, he passed them on to his wife and brother, but the investigations have deepened and have also gone outside until the time when Veliaj was a minister, not only as mayor.

Anyway, SPAK gave the answer. He gave the first answer to the media parrots and his clients saying that this is the truth by specifying the criminal offenses and the relevant articles of the code.

Secondly, he emphasized that Erion Veliaj has been investigated, that there are concrete charges, which are quite serious, that can range from 5-15 years in prison.

Thirdly, he told Erion Veliaj that you have time to leave the office yourself by resigning or you will be arrested in handcuffs in the office.

It is a fact that Erion Veliaj is one of the most hated faces of politics in the entire history of Albanian democracy, but he has the chance to save something from his political dignity by resigning and showing that he is a free citizen to be investigated and confronts SPAK himself, in the end he may turn out to be innocent.

But sitting on the chair, continuing with media intrigue scenarios, with games to gain public opinion or the support of the socialists, attacking Sali Berisha, these have no value anymore.

The bottom line is only one, Erion Veliaj is under accusation, under 4 very serious accusations, and if he had a thread of citizenship left, he would have had to resign.

But if he didn't give it, one thing is certain, they will go and take him to the office in handcuffs./ CNA
