According to the complaint, Nano intervened to mitigate the sentence in Italy of Geron Xhafaj, the brother of the former Minister of the Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj.

Peka said that Nano, through Ardian Viša, the former head of External Relations at the General Prosecutor's Office, has made contact with the Italian prosecutor to reduce the sentence from prison to house arrest.

Afterwards, he said that the former prime minister appointed Fatmir Xhafaj as Minister of the Interior, and the latter made it possible to extradite Geron Xhafaj to Albania.
