Tensions at "Petro Nini"/ Police: We found no compromising material

The police have reacted to the tensions recorded near the "Petro Nini Luarasi" high school, where the DP denounced it as an illegal office.

The police have stated that no compromising or illegal materials were found in this office.

The Blues announced that they had escorted several people, while emphasizing that MP Erion Braçe has reported DP exponents for the force used against him and the people accompanying him.

"The structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the prosecutor on duty at SPAK, are carrying out all procedural and investigative actions to document an alleged case today, on 11.05.2025, in an area on "Marko Boçari" Street, Tirana, where illegal electoral activities were alleged.

At around 17:50, following a report made by Belind Këlliçi, representative of the Democratic Party, the Police services went to the alleged location and found several citizens near and inside a private environment, which according to the informants functioned as an electoral office, without identification signs, for the Socialist Party.

During the search carried out in the presence of representatives of both political entities, no compromising or illegal materials were found in that environment. The persons present were escorted to the premises of Police Station No. 2, where statements and criminal charges were taken from both parties representing the two political entities. The representative of the Socialist Party, Mr. Erion Braçe, reported that representatives of the Democratic Party had used force against him and other persons with whom he was accompanied.

The investigation team is administering the video footage and any other evidence in order to fully document the circumstances of the incident. The investigations continue under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office.

"At the conclusion of the procedural actions, a full announcement will be made on the results of the investigation," the police stressed./ CNA
