New Democracy (ND) MEPs Fredi Beleri and Eliza Vozemberg, together with SYRIZA MEP Elena Koundoura and Emmanouil Fragkos from Greek Solution, have been elected to leadership positions in European Parliament committees.

Greek media reports that Fredi Beleri was elected vice-chairman of the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament.

The head of the ND Eurogroup, Eliza Vozemberg, was elected the head of the Transport and Tourism Committee with 33 votes, while Elena Kountoura of SYRIZA will be the third vice-chair.
