The saga of the Hamburg-Pristina/AACK flight provides clarification

The Civil Aviation Authority of Kosovo has issued an explanation regarding yesterday's Hamburg-Pristina flight.

AACK states that there were 155 passengers on board and it was forced to land in Belgrade due to some technical problems.

"The scheduled flight from Hamburg to Pristina by the air operator 'Eurowings' (Flt. No. EW5704), which departed at 14:30 with 155 passengers on board, for technical reasons was forced to land at the airport 'Nikola Tesla' in Belgrade at 16:27.

The air operator Eurowings immediately organized and sent an alternative plane (Flt. No. EW6005) to pick up the remaining passengers at Belgrade airport, and at 22:56 this plane flew with the same passengers to the city of Cologne in Germany, where it sat at 00:45 after midnight', the announcement states.

The Civil Aviation Authority clarifies that other state institutions of Kosovo, together with the airport of Pristina, have been in constant communication and coordination with the air operator Eurowings for the safety and well-being of our passengers who were on this flight.

"The passengers returned to Cologne, the air operator Eurowings has brought them to Pristina this morning at 10:00 (Flt. No. EW6006)", it is emphasized in the announcement./ CNA
