The last days of works / Lot 3 of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë

The third lot of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis is nearing completion.

As announced by CNA, the road will open at the end of August.

The entire route of the axis has been asphalted, from Qukës to Qafë-Plloçë. The asphalting of the road has also been completed in Lot 3.

Meanwhile, the markings have been made on most of the axis. Also, the dividing sections are being placed on the last 4-5 km.

These final works, which include alignments and some final alignment adjustments, are being carried out hour by hour.

Perhaps these are the final moments, after 12 years, for the opening of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis, a road with investments of hundreds of millions of euros, but which, according to experts, is not of the quality of what was previously discussed.

Lot 3 has certain segments that are three-lane, to facilitate vehicle movement, while Lots 1 and 2 have problems due to curves and narrow roads.

For these reasons, the movement of heavy vehicles can cause problems and obstacles.

But, despite this, Lot 3 will be opened and these are the last days of the works. /CNA
