Protest and SP meeting/ Police take measures

Following the measures taken to guarantee public order and security, the Tirana Police has drafted a detailed plan of measures to ensure order and the smooth running of the activities that will take place this afternoon and evening on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard (rally) and in the "Italia" square (activity of the political entity Socialist Party).

In this context, the Tirana Police announces that from 4:00 PM until the end of the activities and rally, there will be traffic blockages and restrictions on several road axes.

No vehicles will be allowed on the following roads:

“Pope John Paul II”;

“Dervish Hima”;

"Faik Konica";

"Dukagjini Lek";

"George Philip";

“Hasim Zeneli”;

“Themistocles of Germen”;

"Ibrahim Rugova", from the intersection with "Libri Universitar" street to "Shopen" square.

There will also be a traffic jam on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, all the way to "Mother Teresa" Square.

Tirana Police appeals for citizens' understanding and advises the use of alternative routes of movement, as well as respecting the instructions of police services in the field./ CNA
