Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi

The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, has left his office before the start of the protest over the death of the 7-year-old girl in Himare, who was hit by the speedboat driven by former officer Arjan Tase.

Contacted by "Euronews Albania", Çuçi affirmed that he did not want his presence within the Ministry of the Interior to be taken as a provocation for the protesters.

At 19:00, a protest is expected to begin in front of the Ministry of the Interior, by Civil Society activists and citizens under the motto "The boat didn't kill him, but the state".

The rally has been announced on social networks, while opposition politicians have warned of participation in this activity.

On August 2, citizen Arjan Tase hit a 7-year-old girl to death, while performing dangerous maneuvers with a speedboat.

Tase, was a police officer and was dismissed from the ranks of the police by the General Director, Gladis Nano.

Today, the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora dismissed the entire investigation carried out by the Agency for Police Supervision against Arjan Tasen, for which it raised the charge of manslaughter.

In his testimony, Tase explained that the dinghy he was driving got gas immediately and made a rotation instead, and as a result he lost control.
