The project for the water supply system in Trebinje, Pogradec, starts / Xhakolli

A significant investment in the water supply system has begun in the Trebinje administrative unit of Pogradec, bringing a solution to a long-standing problem of drinking water supply. The project includes 8 villages in the area and is expected to benefit around 4,500 residents. The project includes the villages of Guri Bardhë, Dunicë, Kalivaç, Potkozhan, Pevelan, Malinë, Trebinje, Pleshisht.

The investment is being carried out by the National Water Supply Agency in cooperation with the Municipality of Pogradec. The Mayor of the Municipality, Ilir Xhakoli, has closely inspected the works, stating that this project will once and for all solve the drinking water problem for the Mokra area.

Xhakolli: How long have you been doing this?

Engineer: Today is the tenth day since we started.

Xhakolli: What is the deadline?

Engineer: The deadline is 15 months.

Xhakolli: -I believe you can do it?

Engineer: -Of course! Much faster!

Xhakolli: -You should consider doing these difficult jobs because of the terrain

Engineer: The terrain is very difficult, especially the springs at the top of Kozic, are difficult to reach, to capture. I say that in our plans, in that area we close it for 6 months. Then normally we need 1 month to do the planning and handover with the water supply company

Engineer: We do it as a process before it is taken over so that they can also get acquainted with the terrain, better materials than these, it is difficult to find, they are from the KONTI factory, they have German certification, it is the same pipe that is laid in Germany, as in the middle of Berlin this pipe is also laid here. Since we have experience with waterworks, we have tried them all, but with KONTI. We are very satisfied, The materials and fittings are all Italian, we use plast Italia as the fittings for gluing the pipes.

Xhakoli: We are also keeping our promise by finishing with this area, as this was the only remaining Trebinje unit, so I invite you to work with good quality because this area deserves it.

The works have started a few days ago and are being carried out with modern pipelines, which guarantee a stable and quality supply. In addition to the water supply, work is also being done to improve the road infrastructure./ CNA
