The Administrative Court in Tirana rejected Fredi Beler's request for securing the lawsuit, suspending the decree until the court takes a final decision.

On July 30, the Court will start examining the lawsuit of Fredi Beleri and PBDNJ for the annulment of the President's decree for the date of the elections on August 4 in Himare.

Present in court were the head of PBDNJ, Vangjel Dule, Fredi Beleri's lawyer, Klodiana Gjyzari, as well as the lawyers of the presidency.

Beler's lawyer Klodiana Gjyzari said that the election act is illegal because Article 10 of the Electoral Code has not been implemented since the end of Beler's mandate has not passed all the steps

According to the lawyers of the presidency, the decree is not the competence of the Administrative Court. Even the State Attorney asked the court not to accept the lawsuit and to verify the formal conditions of its drafting.

We recall that on July 8, Fredi Beleri sued the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, to dismiss the latter's decree that selected August 4 as the day when the Himarë Municipality elections will take place./ CNA
